I originally wore this pink dress for work: I shot an episode of Black Women Own the Conversation (on the Oprah Winfrey Network). Adding more color to my office wardrobe has long been a goal of mine. Therefore, this dress was a great option. Based on the pink suits here and here, clearly pink is making its way up the list of go-to colors for me.
This event was coordinated through my current employer, the Miss Universe Organization. Therefore, MUO stylist Emma Pritchard pulled together a few options for me! We already knew before the taping that I would be doing a lot of sitting and would have to get up at some point to talk. Consequently, it was important that the dress resist wrinkles. It did. Yay. Also, it was long enough that I could cross and uncross my legs without worrying about my underwear getting caught on camera. That is to say, it was perfection!
The asymmetrical neckline and frilly bottom paired with the bright color makes this a standout piece. It’s sold out but I found a couple of similar dresses, linked below. Your turn to try a hot pink dress for work! Let me know how it goes.
