Zara had a sale. My credit card had a heart attack.
I’m one of those people that utilize the “one for you, one for me” policy when it comes to buying Christmas gifts. I did much of my “one for me” shopping at Zara since they had a killer sale over the holidays. I went a little overboard with my spending, but out of all the items I bought, this pink suit was probably my favorite. It actually cost me less than $50.
I feel like I traded in my red power suit for a pink one. I paired my Elle Woods-inspired outfit with a pink button-down from Brooks Brothers—because the only thing better than pink is more pink. To say I felt like a boss wearing this outfit is an understatement.
Candidly, the only thing I’m not a fan of is the fabric used for this particular suit. I talked a bit in this article about how to find clothes that last without breaking the bank. It is important to find clothing that is made from high-quality fabric so that your garments will last a while and drape well when you’re wearing them. The fabric used for this suit is man made, is a little thin, and doesn’t resist wrinkles very well. This is fine, though, because the suit was pretty cheap (again, less than $50 for the whole thing) and because it’s one of those outfits you pull out of your closet once in a blue moon. I won’t wear it very often, so it doesn’t need to withstand the daily wear and tear that my more expensive, high-quality suits can defend.
All-in-all, I’m happy with my purchase.
