Hello, grey suit and sock boots! I am typically a pumps and black tote kind of gal when it comes to accessorizing a suit. When I was working as an attorney full-time in Charlotte, NC, it was quick and easy to just throw on a plain navy or grey suit each day, some nude or black pumps, and head out. Now that I live in NYC, the fashion capital of the world (depending on who you ask), I’m often inspired to experiment more than I used to in my old line of work.
I like this outfit for a few reasons. First, I love the ankle boots instead of pumps: the wind in New York City is murderous and my poor ankles typically play victim to it. Second, the outfit didn’t take much thought to put together, but the accessories make it a little more punchy. The gold watch band, out-of-the-ordinary shoe (for my work wardrobe at least), and the little frill detail on the blouse adds some fun to what would’ve otherwise been a pretty bland black and grey outfit.
Prancing around NYC in (suit and sock boots) happiness,
